I'm a Ph.D. student in the Algorithms/Theory group of
the Department of Computer Science at
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
My undergraduate education was at Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (better known as BITS, Pilani) in India.

Research:
My research interests are in CS theory - particularly algorithms - and combinatorics. I mainly work on approximation algorithms for graph problems; other broad areas of interest are graph theory, randomized algorithms and the probabilistic method, and game theory. I work with Chandra Chekuri. Lately, I've been working on online matching-type problems, packing LPs, network design and routing, and packing Steiner Forests; less recently, I worked on generalizing k-MST to higher connectivity and Orienteering.Teaching:
- Spring 2007: CS 199, Little Bits to Big Ideas (an introduction to Computer Science for Non-majors), with Lenny Pitt.
- Fall 2006: CS 473U, Algorithms, with Jeff Erickson.
- Spring 2006: CS 273, Formal Models of Computation, with Lenny Pitt and Margaret Fleck.
- Fall 2005: CS 473(ug), Algorithms, with Lenny Pitt.
- Spring 2005 and Fall 2004: CS 225, Introduction to Data Structures and Software Principles, with Jason Zych.
